Carole-Ann Hayes (CGA, EMBA) has 20 years experience in senior management positions at Bonnier Corporation, CanWest MediaWorks, and Key Publishers Company Ltd. and its subsidiaries. She brings to Ontario’s Own an extensive and respected knowledge base encompassing strategic planning, finance, business development, sales management and online business development.
Carole-Ann's family has been in the meat and delicatessen business for decades. Since childhood, she has watched and participated as her family built a successful small business working alongside processors and distributors, always with a deep and abiding respect for the people who produce the food we eat.

Following a highly successful career in financial software, Dan boldly decided to pursue his
love of food and cooking through an apprenticeship with Chef Jamie Kennedy, who at that
time operated the renowned Palmerston Restaurant in Toronto. Dan completed his formal
culinary education at the Stratford Chefs’ School, and an apprenticeship at the highly regarded
Rundles Restaurant. He has worked as a chef and instructor in Canada, the U.S. and the Caribbean.
Recently he was executive sous chef at the Royal Ontario Museum restaurant and is
co-founder of the popular Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar.
Dan has championed the use of local produce, meats, fish, cheeses and wines since he began
his love affair with food. For him, the flavours and freshness say it all.
